We've compiled answers to the most common inquiries we receive, from property amenities and booking processes to local recommendations and pet policies. Our goal is to ensure you have all the information you need for a seamless and enjoyable stay.
Marlane is under proud new ownership as of October 31st, 2025. We are excited for a new chapter in the legacy of Marlane! We are currently fully renovating the rooms & property and anticipate a Grand Re-Opening in the early Spring of 2026! Once we cut the ribbon, Marlane will be open & ready to welcome guests all year round!
Marlane will be rolling out a state-of-the-art online reservation system starting around January 2026! Reservations will be best made through this system. Our staff will be available 24/7 by phone or message/email to assist in the transition process!
Marlane is following our owner's proven success with "Contactless Hospitality" - meaning that the front desk will not be regularly staffed on-site. Don't worry! Our management and front desk team are always available to assist with anything that may come up, and our staff in the area can respond to any urgent situations, typically within 15 minutes or less. We will also be moving away from daily housekeeping as a default - but don't worry, you'll still see some familiar faces (& some new ones) around every day! This means our staff will not be coming into your room during your stay unless you ask us to. We are ALWAYS happy to drop off extra towels or assist with other things that may come up though - just let us know!
Reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of booking; the remainder will be charged automatically 7 days before your arrival date. Cancellations made at least 7 days before arrival will receive a full refund. No refunds or modifications can be made after that point. Reservations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable.
Reservations are best made via our website. Please call/message us for group reservations. Marlane maintains a 2 night minimum stay requirement all year round, and a 4 night minimum for far-out advance booking in the summer. Single nights may only be booked within 10 nights of any given future date, if rooms are still available. We would love for you to stay longer and explore the area! We offer an automatic discounts for stays 4 nights or longer, and a a larger discount for stays 7 night or longer. Our maximum allowable stay is 21 consecutive nights. Discounts and promotions are only valid on direct reservations and may not be applicable to third-party booking sites, discounts cannot be combined and must be used at the time of booking.
Check in starts at 4pm, and check out is by 11am.
Our property operates on self-check in with a door code - no need to check in at the front desk or worry about physical keys. You are free to arrive at any time after 4pm. Your check in details will be emailed & texted to you on the morning of your arrival. You must complete your registration card/folio AHEAD of your arrival to ensure a smooth check in! The registration card is emailed & texted to you at the time of confirmation, so you will have plenty of time before your arrival to complete this step (takes 5 minutes or less, super easy!)
It is each guest's responsibility to check and read their emails. If you do not receive a confirmation email immediately after booking, please check your spam folder. Contact us if you are unable to locate the confirmation email. Early check in / late check out may be requested and granted for a small fee, subject to availability. Please note that we do not have an on-site front desk staff and our management and support staff work remotely, but are easily accessible and readily responsive to our guests' needs. Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator. We have rooms of each type on both the ground and second floors for convenience. Please specify which floor you would like to be on at the time of your booking so we can do our best to accommodate you!

Pets of any kind are not permitted. We love animals but due to the compact nature of the property, we made the difficult decision to prohibit pets for the peaceful enjoyment of all guests, as well as for the well-being of the pets themselves. This policy includes emotional support pets. Trained service animals, however, are permitted in accordance with the law. Service animals must be registered and trained to perform specific task(s) and are expected to accompany their owner at all times and must not be left unattended in the room at any point.
Please note that daily housekeeping is not included in your stay. Extra towels and other supplies are always available upon request and are typically delivered on the same day or by the next morning. Linen changes are available for a small fee. We kindly ask that guests help keep their rooms tidy during their stay. Trash bins are located behind the building should you need to remove excess trash during your stay. Please do not hesitate to ask, we are happy to assist with anything you need during your stay!
All of our rooms feature a dry bar with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (regular medium roast coffee pods, non-dairy creamer, and sugar are included), coffee mugs, ice bucket, hair dryer, garment steamer, hand soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body lotion, as well as all bed linens, extra blanket, and bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and floor mat.
Additionally, our efficiencies add a kitchenette (2 burner induction cooktop, microwave, larger fridge/freezer, sink) stocked with all essential cookware and dishes/silverware. There may not be oil and spices - so please plan to supply all of your own perishable ingredients to use during your stay.We do not provide beach towels but a beach tote and beach chairs are provided for free so our guests can enjoy the beautiful Wildwood beaches during their stay. Beach chairs are located in each guest room and are only available for use during the times of your reservation.
All guest rooms include one parking space at the hotel. One space per room. Your vehicle must be registered with the hotel, and parking passes are included in your room and must be clearly displayed on your dashboard. Unregistered vehicles and vehicles without a displayed permit will be towed without warning. Any additional cars must be parked off site. We are located on the border of the business district with metered spaces, and the residential areas with ample free parking. Guests must pay attention all posted parking regulations and meters. Marlane is not responsible for towing or parking violations. Most guests choose to park their cars for the duration of their stay and walk, bike, or taxi/rideshare around town!
Free high-speed Wi-Fi is always included in your stay. There is no password, but users will need to provide their information to connect. The network name is Guests of Marlane.
Every room features a 50" HD Smart TV powered by Roku. Guests can enjoy a variety of free programs and log into their favorite streaming services during their stay. We do not have cable, however, Roku offers more than 350+ free Live TV channels from all major broadcasting stations.
All guests are welcome to enjoy our outdoor lounge areas! Marlane features a beautiful in-ground, heated saltwater pool with comfortable pool-side seating (available May-Sept, exact dates may vary subject to weather conditions, please inquire to confirm exact opening/closing dates). The is a semi-covered patio on the main level and an open-air sun deck upstairs, as well as a covered grove out back with BBQ grills to share. All areas are styled with comfortable furniture for ultimate relaxation. Our rooms also have two chairs & table in front of each room - but we do not have individual private balconies. Many areas & rooms can catch a glimpse of the ocean! Our property is not located on the beach front, no matter how hard we push!
We do not allow the riding of scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and bikes on the property. Bikes are not permitted to be in the rooms. We do have a designated area to lock bikes.
Quiet Hours are from 10pm until 8am.
State Law requires all persons under the age of 16 to be supervised by a parent or guardian from inside the fenced pool area. There are no exceptions. The Health Department requires that all children in diapers must wear approved swim diapers. Only soft beach balls are permitted in pool area for the safety of all guests. Pool hours are strictly enforced. There is no lifeguard on duty and all swimmers do so at their own risk.
Unregistered guests are not permitted in the pool or to have use of the facilities.
Pets are not permitted
NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY SUBSTANCE IN THE ROOMS, IN FRONT OF THE ROOMS, THE POOL, THE SUNDECK, AND THE COFFEE PATIO - A CLEANING FEE OF 200.00 WILL BE CHARGED IF YOU SMOKE OR VAPE IN THE ROOMS. NO CANNABIS SMOKING ON PROPERTY
All rules & policies are strictly enforced and have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. We want all of our guests to enjoy their vacation and we will do everything in our power to protect our guests & our property! Marlane reserves the right to refuse or revoke service to any guest at any time for any reason, within the law, without guarantee of refund, for any guest in violation of any rules or policies of the Hotel. If you are looking for a place to party and cause problems - this is not the place!
